Unity International AIDS Foundation (UIAF) is a 501 (c)(3) public charity with the mission to combat the AIDS pandemic. Our staff supports and fosters education, awareness, and medical support for those affected by HIV and AIDS. In addition, we operate pre-emptively, educating children, teens, and adults on the risks associated with this deadly disease, and the steps they can take to safeguard themselves.AIDS and the social, economic, and life devastating changes it makes has the potential to impact us all. UIAF is fighting that with every step we take. About Us

UIAF was prayerfully founded by Priscilla Oliphant and established as a non-profit organization in 2001. Originally from Bloemfontein, South Africa, Priscilla came to the United States over 20 years ago. She watched from a distance as her country struggled to overcome the ravishes of racism and civil unrest, only to be devastated by HIV/ AIDs.With the sad reality of of the disease and its effectts imbedded in her heart, mind, and spirit, Priscilla discovered her purpose. She realized in a deeper way all of the opportunities, resources, priviliges, and connections she was afforded by living in the United States - all of which enable her to make a difference in the lives of suffering people. Through prayer and fasting, she was given a vision and plan to birng hope to those suffering from HIV / AIDS all over the world and now she stands in the gap on behalf of men, women, and children who are infected and affected by the disease.

ADOPT A SCHOOLI would like the opportunity to speak to you about how we are saving the lives of the children in South Africa, by developing a program called Adopting a School.This is how it works:1. Your students will pick a student from the school you choose to adopt and correspond with them throughout the year. Sharing their lives, their thoughts and their friendship.Many of these children do not have parents and are orphans, their parents have died from AIDS.2. Throughout the year the student will donate items to help the child in South Africa with school items.3. If each parent of the student can donate just $20.00 to help the school with electricity and fans so the students can study longer days.4. United International AIDS Foundation is sponsoring a Walk-a-thon for the Hope for Africa and would love for you to join us. We have 2,000 students already joining this walk from other schools around Sacramento.5. We will have a contest and we will be choosing 12 students and four lead singers for the C.D. and DVD we will be producing to establish a College Fund for those students unable to pay for College. The 12 students picked will also be joined with their pen-pals from South Africa. These students will have this relationship for life. This is how we are going to save the lives of our children by giving them hope.

UIAF presents an opportunity of a lifetime for youth ages 14-25 to audition for a Save-A-Child Benefit album to be recorded LIVE in South Africa September 29,2012. Under the leadership of Grammy Award winning recording artist Edwin Hawkins, and South Africanrecording artist Minister Benjamin Dube'. After recording the benefit CD/DVD, and the live recording in South Africa, the proceeds from distribution will be used to provide educational scholarships and the UIAF mission of supporting those affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic with resources for day-to-day life as well as continuing to build relationships and facilities for the Adopt-a-Child, Adopt-a-School, and Adopt-a-Church programs. LIVE AUDITIONS: South Africa, May 27,2012* United States, June 30,2012* * Dates are subject to change; check website for any changes.DEADLINE for online video entries: June 30,2012; this is the last day online video entries from the USA and Africa will be accepted.REGISTRATION is $20 USD (R40.00 for African entrants) online or at the live auditions. Proceeds contribute to the travel, accommodation, and scholarship fund for winners.
